—>With NO programming involved!

Background:
So I had an idea of a fantastic iPhone application. Though I dabble in programming, have never touched Objective C/Coca. Went through
tons of avenues of getting it done (hiring a dev, learning the language and developing it myself, buying some auto create software etc.) until I
came across a absolute gem of a service called uBuildApp.
It was simple, direct and provided me with everything I needed to create my iPhone application and publish and profit for
relatively little money (actually no more then paying for a developers license for the app store).

Story:
So I had a great idea for an iPhone app and knew I needed it built. I had done my market research analysis and knew there was a need and a market niche to break into.
That is when I hit a mountain of roadblocks.
- I do not know Object C/Cocoa
- I do not use nor do I own a Mac
- A developer license was $99
OK so I have some programming experience so I could pick up a few books and learn Objective C/Cocoa. Sure it would take a few months and some trial and error….but I could.
I could go and buy a used Mac laptop to do the development work on that doesn’t set me back a fortune. And I do know how to at least use one.
$99 is not that big of an investment for a license, but what if I am unable to properly learn Object C/Cocoa thus wasting my investment?
OK so any one of these roadblocks themselves would be small, but together they caused a large hump to getting my own iPhone application developed using my own skillset.
- Because I dont really care to learn Object C/Cocoa if I don’t have to.
- Because I dont need another laptop.
- Because $99 just to have an SDK license where I have to do the work, just doesn’t seem smart.
So the starting curve seemed way too steep. So in my infinite laziness a spent the bulk of my effort in finding a shortcut.
The Fallout:
portion would be operational. Why then would I pay you $599 to deliver a half done iPhone application? I did get one response from a “gentleman” who claimed he could
“get you Iphone app dun purfect, first time, I give lowest bid now please select me and offer“.
A friend suggested a tool he had found that was software you buy and can use to develop iPhone apps. I was excited, I jumped onto the site and started exploring. And then came despair. Yes you could create an iPhone app. Yes to buy the software was inexpensive, just $99. HOWEVER…..there was a monthly membership fee……there was a hosting fee….there was a fee to add my application to iStore…..and the software was limited to very basic template structure.
I needed something that took my idea and gave me the power to create it into the iPhone app I had imagined.
So what could I do? Give up? Might have. However I got lucky. I came across a iPhone development company that had put out a service that allows you to:
- create your own app to your own specifications
- do it with no programing experience
- use a wide array of features to implement in you iPhone app
- do all the testing you can take
- 24 hour launch into the Apple store….for free
- get a custom developed iPhone app from idea to launch for $99
My friend Thomas Kenssey had emailed me about the new development center for iPhone apps called uBuildApp. So eagerly run right to their site and read up on all they have to offer. Sure enough it is easy, inexpensive and gives me the power I needed to create my iPhone application and test and deploy it to the app store….all with no programming involved. Fantastic, I got right to work.
Check out this short video and find out how easy it is to create a uBuildApp application. Keep in mind that this is just the very basic tools. As you will find out, they have some very powerful tools at your disposal.
The Solution:
So I had my solution and I went right to work. My application had been planned for some time so I spent the better part of a Saturday and some of Sunday and got it knocked out. I had just one hiccup, something I had overlooked, but not a problem because uBuildApp allows you to make changes for 1 year.
My application was a free app (this will lead to massive downloads) and I included advertising on my content. It is simple to do, companies like PinchMedia and adWhril allow you to do just that.
One thing uBuildApp does not do is to market your application other than get it submitted into the app store. Many think that may be enough, but I fully believe you absolutely need to do some marketing of your application outside of the app store. There is some good information out there with techniques to market your application; here is one.
So there you have it, everything you need to build an iPhone application…..with ZERO programming knowledge.
